Developer. Lark Group is an independent computer consulting firm working with cutting-edge technologies. Projects include web site development; book, magazine, and online writing; and software development. Working exclusively with Ruby on Rails and related technologies since fall 2007.
STERLING ROSE DESIGN; Evansville, Indiana - 2007-current
Owner. Sterling Rose Design boasts agile web development practices, geared toward delivering clients' visions as rapidly as possible. Web sites developed under the Sterling Rose Design banner have varied from complex e-commerce and inventory applications to simple "presence" sites, and much in between.
QUILTINDEX.COM; Endicott, Washington - 2000-2008
Owner. A portal for the quilting community, this site offered monthly giveaways and e-newsletters, semi-annual virtual scavenger hunts with tens of thousands of dollars in prizes, free patterns, and other features. I developed the site and all related functionality entirely in ASP/VB, and later completely re-wrote it in ASP.NET/C#.
ADAPTIVE STRATEGY; Redmond, Washington — 2005-2007
Developer. Worked with distributed team designing and implementing a variety of applications and features.
NETWORK ASSOCIATES/MCAFEE; Dallas, Texas - 1997-1999
Online Support Supervisor. Oversaw a team of 10 technical support engineers working in the Online Support division. Duties included customer support, hiring/firing, training, employee reports and reviews, as well as being a member on the team that researched and implemented McAfee's first online Knowledge Base.
STREAM INTERNATIONAL; Dallas, Texas - 1996-1997
Support Technician. Offered telephone support for Hewlett Packard's line of laptop computers, printers, and scanners, eventually rising to a Team Mentor position.
Additional work experience includes administrative support positions for an immigration attorney, a pilot recruitment firm, a math tutoring center, and a flight school.
